Beth Schatz-Kaylor Vice President Elected to 3 year term - 2020 Beth Schatz Kaylor is a marketing professional with a passion for local food, bringing strategic communications expertise and non-profit board leadership experience to the co-op board. In her personal efforts to add interest to Bismarck-Mandan’s local food culture, Kaylor has launched creative food experiences including pop-up farm dinners and a waffle food truck. Ellen Knudsen Elected to 3 year term - 2020 Ellen Knudsen grew up in Bismarck and is a local entrepreneur that owns River Road Gardens, a chemical free landscape company. With her business and in life, she has taken on the motto of “Earth Care, People Care.” In her spare time, she has helped non-profits develop supply chains and functional office systems. With her business and in life, she has taken on the motto of “Earth Care, People Care.” In her spare time, she has helped non-profits develop supply chains and functional office systems. As a founding member of the co-op, she brings a whole lot of heart and ten years of business experience to the table.

Emily Brown Elected to 3 year term - 2020 New to the BisMan area, Emily Brown works for USDA Rural Development supporting community economic development projects across the state. She is passionate about expanding North Dakota’s local food infrastructure and supporting small producers. Emily received a Master of Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon, and also has a degree in Environmental Science. Her background is in community organizing, natural resource management, and local food. Ondine “Dina” Baird is a paralegal and family law mediator with extensive experience in business ownership and management and has deep ties in the Bis-Man community through her non-profit and civic board work. By virtue of her experience developing a Co-op fundraiser last summer, she has first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of the Co-op and has developed short and long term financial plans for its future success. Tracy Potter Elected to 2 year term - 2019 Tracy, founding member of the co-op with his wife Laura Anhalt, is an author and historian. 1993-2015 he directed the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation, creating budgets and marketing campaigns, fundraising, working with a board, and managing a staff of 80-120 employees. Kevin Martin President Fulfilling rest of elected term ending in 2018 Kevin was born and raised in Bismarck. After finishing a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State, he migrated to California, presumably for a one year stint. Ten years later, he finally made his way back home so he and his wife, Lori, could raise their children near family.  Kevin spends his weekdays as a Survey Manager at Bartlett & West, where he is a Professional Land Surveyor.  Evenings and weekends he assists his wife in operating Roving Donkey Farm, a small vegetable farm just north of Bismarck.

Through her employer, she started Energy Capital Cooperative Child Care in Hazen together with seven other area businesses. She serves on that board, as well as North Dakota Farmers Union Oliver Co., North Dakota Women’s Network, and IABC Great Plains. She, her husband, and two kids live on a ranch by Hannover and raise cattle.
